Research Training

Ph.D. Programs provide researchers with critical, scientific, methodological skills to carry out highly qualified research activities both in academic and non-academic sectors.

Working under the supervision of their academic advisers, Ph.D. candidates learn these skills by developing an original research project and by actively participating in classes, seminars, Winter and Summer schools organized by each Ph.D. Program. The purpose of these activities is to offer the necessary and relevant tools for each field of study.

The Doctoral School encourages the different Programs to share a common approach and management, in the full respect of their individual diversity. It also ensures a varied and multidisciplinary educational offer, which includes complementary research training.
More information on the specific activities planned by each Ph.D. Program is available on each PhD Programmes’ websites.
